Garlic Aioli

This Garlic Aioli is a great sauce, whether you’re looking for a dip for pita bread, a spread for crab cakes or shrimp, or to give a sandwich a bit of extra zing. We made this for our Asian Turkey Burgers on the video, and it was terrific!

Super Easy Garlic Aioli

Just a few ingredients and then some time for them to marry together in the fridge and you have a fantastic sauce! Make a batch and see how many things you can figure out to try with it. Feel free to play with the amount of each ingredient to dial it into your taste profile as well. Rene’ felt there was a bit too much lemon, but I really liked the way the lemon rounded out the flavor so you didn’t taste mostly mayonnaise.

I’m not a big fan of mayonnaise as a general rule. To me, I really notice the “old egg” flavor in the sauce. By adding the garlic and lemon to it, that flavor is minimized and this becomes a whole new profile. You can experiment with the ingredients to perfect it for your taste. It can actually change depending on how big your garlic cloves are as well. Maybe a bit more lemon with seafood? A bit less on other food (I think Rene’ would have liked less for our Asian Turkey Burgers)? Let me know what is the perfect blend for you!
