So Simple!
Flavor way above the amount of effort that goes into these fantastic potatoes!
Just three simple ingredients… one Yukon Gold Potato for each person, some Lawry’s Seasoning Salt and Pam Spray.
A bit of aluminum foil to wrap each half together as it goes on the grill, and you have everything you need!
The Process to Make Easy BBQ Potatoes
Yukon Gold potatoes are generally flatter on one side. I try to cut them across the skinny side, so they are as thin as possible to cook as quickly as they can on the grill.
Cut enough squares of aluminum foil so they will wrap each half of potato as you put them together.
Spray the middle of the aluminum foil where it will touch the cut side of the potato and lightly spray the potato. Sprinkle the potato with the seasoning salt, then wrap with the aluminum foil.
I normally place these skin side down on the grill for the first 5 minutes or so to start the cooking process and give the skin a bit of crunch. Depending on how long the meat will take to cook, I usually flip them over for the rest of the time to cook and put them up on the rack in the grill to slowly bake these through. They will take another 15-30 minutes depending on how thick the potatoes are and the temperature you are using to grill the meat.
The potatoes are done when they are soft when you squeeze them. Unwrap from the foil and serve! As long as you don’t burn them, the potatoes can handle lots of different times on the grill.
